John J. Quinn was educated at Dominican College Newbridge and obtained his Degree at University College where he had the distinction of being the youngest student to graduate in his year. John qualified as a Solicitor and was admitted to the Roll in 1972 following apprenticeship with E.C. Gearty Longford.

John opened his own Practice in 1982, working in all areas of general practice in the busy Midlands towns of Longford and Granard, but specialising in Personal Injury litigation including Medical Negligence, commercial litigation and advising on all aspects of contracts and leasing, commercial and residential conveyancing, Probate and Estate planning, Family law and Criminal Law, where John maintains an extensive practice in local District Courts, Circuit and Central Criminal Courts.

John opened a branch office of Quinn & Company solicitors in Mullingar in 2013 to cater for his expanding clientele across the Midlands, where he continues to provide legal services in all areas including the District Court in criminal, civil and family law matters.

John remains Principal and Managing Partner of the Practice.

John is an active member of Longford Rugby Football Club of which he is a former President, following his playing days, a member of Longford Chamber of Commerce and supports local sporting organisations including Longford Golf Club and GAA, enjoying a wider range of sporting interests.

John was married to Helen who sadly predeceased him, and they have 4 children and 7 grandchildren.
